Pixie-bobs are very personable, loving cats. They are called "A Dog in a Cat's Coat."

They are domesticated cats that are bred to have the visual appearance of the North American Bobcat. They do not have any wild bloodlines.

They are a big, strong cat with a short tail. they come in both shorthair and longhair. They can be polydactyl(extra toes), the Pixiebob standard is the only standard that accepts the polydactyls. Males usually weigh from fourteen to twenty pounds, and females from ten to twelve pounds. The Pixiebob has lynx tipped ears and a spotted double coat that is very thick. They can be spotted or marbled with or without rosettes. The can be silver or brown with red and brown as the dominate show colors.

They are extremely intelligent, inquisitive cats. They are doglike in their devotion and loyalty. They can easily be trained to walk on a leash and fetch. They form a strong bond with their family. They are excellent companions for children. They are quiet cats that occasionally chirp or chatter.

The Pixiebob cats is a very serious addiction and for most people one is not enough !
